Tesla also understood air foils. I believe he was the first to understand and establish that at high velocties the air does not make contact with the wing. A friend of mine took this theory and invented a centrifugal pump that can pump live fish and they are still alive after discharge from the pump. This just an example but the theory worked.

During his early work in crossing a chicken with a pig (through using a kite with which he would catch lightening and force that lightening into a leyden jar) and electrically charging the animals to create the first hybred turkey, it was Ben Franklin who actually discovered AC electricity as a parellel invention. Tesla is often credited, but it was Ben with the money shot.

Nelster, you better check on that. Lightning is DC not AC.
